G.R.A.C.E. Ministry Groups

Ministry Groups

Women’s Leadership Council: We believe that leadership is critical to the successful execution of our mission and vision for our numerous women’s ministries. We have established a team of women who function as both a “sounding board” and are also called upon to provide leadership for various programs and/or activities.

Prayer Team: The success of any ministry is keeping focused on Christ and his will. We have a group of committed ladies meeting monthly to pray over various WM events as well as issues relating to WM and its leaders.

Bible Studies: Tuesday night bible study group meets every Tuesday evening at 7pm. Wednesday Morning bible study group meets at 9:30am. See church bulletin for locations.

Care Ministry: The Care ministry is a very important part of Women’s Ministry. The Care Ministry works steadily behind the scenes ministering to women by sending cards of encouragement, hospital visits, meals, etc. or just being a friend during difficult times. Many of these services are completed in conjunction with the all church Care Ministry.

Spring Luncheon: Our Spring luncheon is the first major event within WM. This event is traditionally held the second Saturday in March. It is a special time for women to gather together and shine! At the luncheon, you will be inspired by special speakers, music, food, etc. Each table is decorated beautifully by the table hostess to match the theme of the luncheon. Any women is eligible be a table hostess by signing up. Many volunteer opportunities are available, just sign up!

Annual Women’s Retreat: Our annual retreat is the second major events within WM. Our retreat begins on a Friday evening and continues until noon on Sunday. At the retreat, it’s a time for women to be refreshed and renewed. Special speakers, music and activities are planned to make it a memorable weekend. Women are encouraged to get involved in various areas in planning the retreat.

Christmas Tea: The Christmas Tea is our third major event within WM. This event is an opportunity to welcome the Christmas season. Special music, speakers, etc., as well as outstanding Christmas decorations remind us that Jesus is the Reason for the Season. Come and enjoy Tea, scones, salads, finger sandwiches, and dessert on beautiful china.   This event is held the first Saturday in December. There are many opportunities to be involved with the joyful event!

Women of Faith Conference:Women from East Hills look forward to this great event! It’s two days, 10½ hours conference held in September at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Ca. There are many ways to get involved indirectly with WoF. Every year we need volunteers to help with registration for the event, locating and creating a hotel list. Locating and creating a list of restaurants within the area and any specialties about the restaurant. There is always a need for transportation and a volunteer is also needed to create a schedule for car and van pool. Some women enjoy fellowship via a tailgate party.

Secret Sisters: All ladies are invited to participate in this ministry of caring and sharing with other sisters in Christ. You will each be given a “sister” that you are to pray for, encourage, and celebrate with them on special days-Anonymously! No one knows who you have during the program, but at the end of the program, we all gather together at the “reveal potluck” and reveal ourselves!

Women to Women Mentoring: This is generally a six-month commitment to the mentoring relationship. Both the Mentor and the Mentee will be in regular contact with each other and meet on a regular basis. There are many things you can do together like learn a new skill, work on spiritual disciplines, go out for coffee or a meal, and just spend time with each other.

Virtuous Handi-crafters: This inspiring group meets every Tuesday morning from 9:00am-Noonish. Lasting friendships are developed in a positive spirit of grace. They share their talents, and gifts with each other and in everything they do for all the ministries both in and out of East Hills, they do with unconditional love.
