Mark has been married to his wife, Barby Schwarz, for 25 years. He describes his wife as his best friend, and one he loves to do ministry with. He is a proud father of two teenage daughters, Amy (18) and Emily (14) and has been in full-time ministry for over 32 years. He has been a Youth Director, Associate Pastor for 10 years (Faith Community Church in Riverside), Senior and Founding Pastor for 8 years for a church in Iowa, and most recently, the Senior Pastor at Tulare Community Church for the past 7 years.
And now…effective June 1, 2013 Pastor Mark Schwarz continues to follow God’s call as the Lead Pastor of East Hills!!!
When not at church you can find Mark hanging out with family and friends, working around the yard, traveling with friends, going to college football games, baseball games, basketball games, golfing, listening to Christian music along with 50’s & 60’s music, cooking, grilling, reading, people watching and going to Disneyland with his family.
His spiritual gifts are leadership, encouragement and apostleship. His favorite personal ministry objective is to “Win Them, Train Them and Send Them”.
Let’s pray for Pastor Mark and his family before they arrive and certainly after they arrive. And let’s look forward with anticipation to what God is going to do in and through East Hills as we continue to follow his leading. Our God is a great God and he has provided for our leadership in great ways!
