The word WORSHIP means to “express praise and devotion; to show adoration.”
Each and every Sunday we have the privilege of leading the body of Christ at East Hills into a place of worship. Whether playing an instrument, singing, helping with the sound, or running Power Point on the computer, serving on the worship team is rewarding and fun. Being a part of bringing the church before the face of God is a feeling unlike any other.
There are several areas on the worship team where your gifts may be used. If you would like to use your gifts to help out on the worship team please look over this information and get in contact with me, so we can get you plugged into a very fulfilling ministry.
Music Ministry
Praise Band
The Praise Band at East Hills Community Church is made up of several vocalists and musicians, skilled at their craft, who are able to lead us musically on Sunday morning into a worship experience through song. East Hills incorporates various worship leaders whom rotate in their roles each month. Likewise, the band and vocalists are also on a rotation.
For those in the Praise Band, rehearsals are every Thursday night with vocal practice starting at 7:00 pm and full band at 8:00 pm. This is mandatory.
Sonbeams / Sonshine Co.
East Hills has two children’s choirs that gather periodically during the year to perform. Sonbeams is for PreK-K children and Sonshine Co. is for 1st grade on up.
Drama Ministry
Actors/Actresses
Drama is used at East Hills on Sunday mornings as part of the message and to make announcements. It is also used in our special productions throughout the year. Experience is not necessary.
Visual Arts
Artists
Painting, drawing, sculpting, whatever the art form, it can be used for the glory of God. We use artists for Sunday mornings, special events and more.
Graphic Artists
Announcement slides every week, designs for the web, visualizing our sermon series and more are all utilized at East Hills.
Video Production
Video is an important medium to us. Shooting and editing of video requires time and a special eye/skill set.
Technical Ministry
Computer Team
This is not the design aspect, just a willingness to be at the computer and move the slides to follow our singing and sermon on Sunday morning.
Sound Team
Lots of things going on Sunday morning and at our special events...so who mixes it all down so it gets to us? The Sound Team. Be one of the ones making it all happen.
Lights and Recording
Running our house and spotlights along with the recording of our sermon on Sunday morning, this person is able to make both work.
Special Events
East Hills has many special events throughout the year, those involving our ministry are the Christmas Show and our Good Friday Production.
