Young Adults (college age)

God is ultimate reality. We do not presume to place Jesus like a balm on our wounds, but rather we see ourselves as barnacles--parasites--who attach ourselves to Jesus--the true source of life, joy, love, and peace so that we might truly live (Jn. 15). And yet we are all idolaters: casting God in our own image and subjugating him to our service. We are a group of recovering self-addicts who are being carried along by the Holy Spirit in sanctification. God in his wisdom works by the power of the Spirit through the ministry of the word and his church. So we gather together that we might trust him and love others.

We will be a community that exemplifies the saints before the throne of God in joy and righteousness and adoration.

We are becoming this community through meeting regularly and creatively to strengthen our community and develop our individuality.
We value...
the beauty of Christ || inhabiting eternity || righteousness || prayer || knowing the heart of Christ || knowing || the speech of Christ || integrating into our church || integrating outsiders into our community.
We will...
learn from Scripture || learn from one another || enjoy God's creation || build community || disciple the younger || relate to the older.

May we grow together in holiness, unity, wisdom, humility, and love that as a group we might be a foretaste of his kingdom to come; and that individually we might be ministers of reconciliation wherever his providence leads us, representing the gospel, being agents of redemption and recreation in school, the workplace, coffee shops, and social networks.

Weekly Bible Study

On Wednesday night we gather together at East Hills from 6-8pm. We hang out around conversation, social & video games, and occasionally food; we spend time in prayer; and we study Scripture together. Come expecting a laid-back setting with plenty of freedom to seek truth and express yourself. (Questions are encouraged!) *on break for Summer*

Friday Nights

Our Friday Nights gathering meets every other week somewhere in Riverside. It’s an experiment in dynamic discipleship: engaging our city with a Christian worldview, building friendships, and discovering reality together. Each gathering is different: from games at the park or evaluating a movie to hiking Mt. Rubidoux or Open Mic at a coffee shop. Join us when you can, and bring a few friends along the way. To see where we’ll be this Friday, check out Facebook or Twitter:

Retreats / Events

Life often grinds through monotony. But God established festivals and feasts for his people to draw attention to his provision & grace... and we want to follow suit. So be on the lookout for...

... a retreat or two

... our Grow Up Conference

... birthday parties, Oscar Parties, New Years Parties, Graduation Parties, etc.

Generational Blending

Christ is reconciling all things to himself… there is therefore now no slave or free, male or female, [young or old]… all without distinction are saved by grace through faith. And Christ has placed you into his body because you are incomplete without it, and the body is incomplete without you.

Consider assisting in children’s ministry, youth ministry, worship ministry, and being involved with other LIFE Groups. You need them & they need you.

Social Media Team

Looking for a different way to get involved in serving East Hills? This one might be for you: we have a small team that keeps our church connected to each other and visible to the outside world through Instagram, Twitter, Google+, Facebook, Vine, Pinterest, and YouTube.
